Homewood Station Map

Homewood Fire & Rescue

I'm currently working on the Homewood Fire stations map. It should be up in the next few days.

Other departments in the works are North Shelby, Irondale, Hoover, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Center Point, Bessemer, Tarrant, Fairfield and Midfield. I don't have a time-line, though.

My goal is to map all the Jefferson and Shelby County paid departments.

Pinson Valley Pkwy MVA

Birmingham / Center Point

Birmingham Fire & Rescue Engine 28 & Rescue 28 along with Center Point Engine 2 & Rescue 2 responded to an MVA on Pinson Valley Parkway where a Honda ran into the back of an 18-wheeler.

Leeds Commercial Fire

Leeds Fire & Rescue

Leeds Fire & Rescue responded to a fire in a business on Lawley Avenue this afternoon. The owner said that he was painting doors with a paint sprayer when he heard a noise behind him and felt heat on his neck. Realizing there was a fire, he unplugged the spray hoses to drag them outside. This caused a container of lacquer to turn over causing the fire to spread.

Leeds got there and knocked the fire out and saved the building.
