BFRS 2005 Graduation & Promotional Ceremony

Birmingham Fire & Rescue

The Birmingham Fire & Rescue Recruit Academy Graduation and Promotion Ceremony was held Monday, November 14 at the Botanical Gardens.

Congratulations to the firefighters who were promoted during the ceremony! A total of 24 firefighters were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant during the ceremony and Captain Fields was promoted to Battalion Chief.

Keep up the great work! Birmingham is lucky to have such a fine department with so many dedicated people within it's ranks.

Also, after weeks of blood, sweat and tears, the recruits of the Summer 2005 Recruit Academy were promoted to the position of firefighter with the City of Birmingham. Congratulations to each and every one of you who have chosen a rewarding career with Birmingham Fire & Rescue.

Birmingham Fire & Rescue is a department with a motto of "Excellence Through Service" and they live up to that standard with every call.
