Sunday, March 15, at 1730, Fultondale Fire and Rescue responded to a commercial fire at 1509 Decatur Highway in Fultondale.

Units responding included:

• Ladder 1
• Engine 1
• Rescue 70
• Car 441 (Fire Marshal)
• Car 442 (Asst. Chief)
  

The fire is under investigation.

Double Springs Fire Chief Killed

DOUBLE SPRINGS, AL - Double Springs Fire Chief Mike Gilbreath was killed when a car struck him around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning, according to a report by ABC 33/40.

He was also an employee of the Winston County Roads Department, the report said.
