Here's a full view of the aircraft, Emery...

When Emery was shut down by the FAA, the aircraft went to Omni Air Express...

From there, it was exported to Angola where it crashed. The person who sent me the photo said that the brown on the tail is mud from landing on dirt runways...

Turn Back The Clock pt.3

Birmingham, Homewood and Hoover Fire

Below is a picture of Captain Cordell Mardis back in the 80's when he was a nozzleman on Engine 21. He's now the department's PIO and Senior Fire Investigator.

Donald and I would stop by #21 on the way back to our station to visit with Lt. Doss, Mardis, Maurice Tingle and the guys. A great group of men who are now leaders in the department...

Below is a picture of Decimus Williamson from the 80's when he was on Engine 6. He's another friend who has gone on to be an officer with Birmingham...

Birmingham Fire & Rescue Car 51 in the late 80's...

Engine 19 and Car 54 at a house fire in the east...

Birmingham Fire & Rescue Station 6 in the late 80's. That was back when the rescue units weren't transport units...

Homewood Fire Station 2 on Carr Avenue in the late 80's...

3's Truck and others on a church fire... yes, in the late 80's...

Hoover Fire & Rescue's Engine 5 and Rescue 41 working an MVA on Hwy 150...

Hoover Fire & Rescue's Truck 4 on an apartment fire off Lorna Road in the late 80's...
