Below are some pictures I took back in the 80's. I have tons of them. I'll try to add some in from time to time. I remember thinking those units were some of the best in the nation. Now, you don't even see them as reserves. Time sure does fly.

Birmingham PD Standoff

Pratt City

I was going to take a few shots of an MVA on the Northside when Birmingham's SWAT team responded to a standoff in Pratt City. There were units from Birmingham PD, Jefferson County SO, Alabama State Troopers and Birmingham Fire. I don't doubt that there were others but those were the only departments I saw. The perimeter was four blocks.
