Antique Apparatus Around Town

Below are a few pictures of antiques seen around Birmingham. These were taken at the Irondale Fire Prevention Week.


This hand drawn hose cart is owned and displayed by LT Graham, a Vestavia Hills firefighter. I had the pleasure of talking with LT Graham during both the 2004 and 2005 displays and the conversation with him was as interesting as the display.

Along with his cart display, LT Graham had a picture of the 1900 Avondale Fire Department (before they became Birmingham) and a fact sheet about the hose cart...
