34th Annual Fire Prevention Parade Info

Montevallo Fire and Rescue

Montevallo Fire & Rescue asked me to help get the word out to departments in the surrounding area regarding the 34th Annual Fire Prevention Parade. Below is a letter for interested departments with details of the event and contact information.

This parade is a huge event held every year. If you haven't been, check out the pictures from last year's parade:

Montevallo Fire and Rescue would like to cordially invite your department to our 34th Annual Fire Prevention Parade. Last year, we had over thirty departments participate. This year, we would like to make it bigger and better. The parade will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, to kick off National Fire Prevention Week. This year’s fire prevention theme is, “STAY FIRE SMART! Don’t get burned”.

Line up for the parade will begin at 8am the morning of the 3rd. You will need to have your truck and personnel that are participating in line no later than 9:15am. Vehicles will line up on Park Road in Orr Park.

Due to the rough economic times we will only be able to provide two bags of candy per department this year. If you wish to have more candy please feel free to bring more with you.

After the parade, all vehicles will be allowed back on Park Road so the community can get an up close and personal look at your department’s unique truck. Lunch will be provided for parade participants so you can socialize and network with other departments that may be from your local area or region.

We also are attempting to have a small vender showcase after the event for you to see what new and upcoming products are available.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jonathan Danzer at (205) 617-0636 or Brandon Broadhead at (205) 229-8367.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there this year.
