USN Blue Angels Tragedy

U.S. Navy Blue Angels

Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis

This set is part 1 of 2.  (View part 2)

Saturday afternoon, the U. S. Navy Blue Angels lost one of their team members in a fatal accident which occurred during an air show at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in Beaufort, S.C.

Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis served with the Navy for 11 years and with the Blue Angels for almost two years. Prior to joining the Blue Angels, Davis flew in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Media reports quote witnesses as saying the F/A-18 had possibly clipped some trees during their final maneuver.

The airshow continued today with a tribute to Lt. Cmdr. Davis.

I would like to say a special thank you to Bill for sharing these touching pictures of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis' jet, number 6, taken last November at NAS Pensacola.

God bless his soul and comfort his family and friends.
