BFRS Apartment Fire

Birmingham Fire & Rescue

Birmingham Firefighters responded to an apartment fire on 21^st Avenue North this morning. Upon arrival, Engine 13 reported a working fire and Engine 9 laid a line.

It was reported that 4 families were burned out of their apartments with one of those families being Hurricane Katrina evacuees.

• Rescue 13

• Fire Investigator 2
• Battalion 2

A quick response by Birmingham Firefighters allowed them to rescue several people from the burning building and stop the fire from spreading. Great job!
